FORWARD

I did this word study to help myself and others who need to meditate on the word of God pertaining to healing. It was my intent to meditate on these scriptures until I know without a doubt that it is God’s will to heal me.

I have done a complete word study on the words heal and cure using “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible” (publisher: Riverside Book and Bible House, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126). Each scripture containing the words heal or cure and its conjugations have been written out in full to show each scripture that contains the word. I have chosen from these scriptures those that pertain to God’s promises and put them in their own chapter for quick reference. These scriptures just by themselves are out of the context of their surrounding scriptures and should be looked at in context for complete understanding.

I have also put Strong’s definition number behind each scripture and included their definitions in separate chapters for reference of the use of the original greek words that were translated heal and cure. There were many different words that the translators used the words heal and cure for, and God meant much more than just healing in many scriptures.

At a later time after reading F.F. Bosworth’s Book, “Christ the Healer” I saw that an understanding of the atonement that Christ’s blood payed for us and the priviliges that are encompassed by the word salvation or sozo as it is in the greek. I have added more scriptures to this study to make it more complete.

I have intended to copy the scriptures exactly as they are in the King James version. Many times if you will compare the scripture in different version it will help to open up the meaning of what God is saying, especially the Amplified version. If you should find an error please let me know so that I can correct it. Thank you.
